Richard L. Wong, working hard for you in Edmonton–Wetaskiwin
Richard Wong is a long-time resident of South Edmonton, having a successful career and raising a family. He was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Kelowna, B.C,and went to high school in Calmar, AB, where his parents ran a local cafe. In 1977, he received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta. From there, he worked in private industry for over 40 years in sales, finance and marketing, and was a small business owner working in real estate and mutual funds.
Richard has been heavily involved in community and local political work. He is a strong advocate for seniors, working with the Seniors Liberal Commission in Alberta and regularly volunteering at the Edmonton Food Bank. He has also been involved with the Chinese Canadian National Council and the Wong's Benevolent Association, and he looks forward to representing the riding of Edmonton-Wetaskiwin as the next Member of Parliament.
